The Sand Garden Coaching Program

 
 

Lifestyle change can be challenging, and it takes time, often a year or two. So, Sand Garden coaching programs typically start out with a three-month introductory package, followed by as many additional sessions as necessary to get you where you want to go with your health goals. Our work together is done entirely virtually, either by video chat through my private telehealth portal or by phone, and typically progresses as such: 

  • After a brief call to discuss your needs and scheduling parameters, and determining that we are a good fit, we will solidify our relationship with a brief contract and package payment.  

  • You will then fill out a thorough health and well-being assessment, which will ensure that we are both informed on your key issues from the outset, including any medical considerations that may affect our work together. 

  • During the first coaching session, which usually lasts about two hours, we review your assessment and develop your wellness plan and vision, three-month goals, and first set of short-term goals. 

  • Then, in subsequent 45- to 60-minute follow-up sessions each week or every two weeks, we review the progress toward your wellness vision and goals, explore and resolve the most pressing issues, learn something new, and then agree on a new set of short-term goals. 

These sessions are fun, engaging, and often quite profound. You will gather a lot of insights along the way. All our interactions will be strictly confidential, so you will have a safe space to learn and grow. By the end of your first three months, you can expect to reach more than 70% of your three-month goals and be ready to move on to new challenges.  

Pricing

Sand Garden Coaching Services are billed by the hour at an à la carte rate of $80 an hour, or at $75 an hour if purchased as part of a package.

Payments & Insurance

 

Payments

Payment is due on the day of service for all à la carte services. Package payments are due in full before the introductory session takes place. Payments can be made by check, Venmo, or credit or debit card with an added 3% service charge. You may be able to use funds from your HSA as payment, but check with your account provider for details.

Insurance

At this time, I do not except insurance, however health and wellness coaching does have a series of CPT codes for potential insurance reimbursement. Right now, they are Category III codes, meaning the insurance companies consider health coaching an emerging treatment, but studies are underway which will likely result in the codes being upgraded to Category I. Therefore, in the near future, coaching may become more easily reimbursable. If you would like to submit coaching expenses for insurance reimbursement yourself, I can provide you with a receipt that includes the appropriate CPT codes, as well as my National Provider Identifier (NPI).
